I used to resort to YouTube a lot when I studied for my exams – but once I reached the University level, YouTube could just not help much anymore. This video is my attempt to untangle Pierre Bourdieu’s theory and what exactly he means by “doxa”, “habitus” and “symbolic violence”, and how this relates to law and juridical profession. This video is unscripted and a recording of me studying for the first exam in my MSc (Sociology of Law).

A 20-something Liberal Arts Students born and raised in Germany and the USA, I spent a year in India and decided that I care a lot about human beings and saving the planet. During this time, I posted my life on www.enalenainindia.blogspot.de I by far don't know everything, and hell, the best I can produce is probably an educated guess. I care about mental health, waste-free/ reduced living, India, access to justice, socio-legal studies, and cats. View all posts by alenakahle
